Overview
Tab Relief is a Chrome extension that helps users manage tabs by sleeping inactive tabs, protecting important sites, saving workspaces, and closing tabs that match your rules. This policy explains what information is used and how it is handled.
Information the extension uses
To provide tab management features, Tab Relief may read and process:
- Tab titles, domains, URLs, and tab IDs.
- Tab state information such as active, pinned, audible, discarded, grouped, or window state.
- Domains you choose to protect from automatic sleep.
- Workspace names and saved tab lists you create.
- Subscription status and email information returned by ExtensionPay for billing access.
How information is used
This information is used to decide which tabs can be slept, protected, saved, restored, or closed. It is also used to show counts, estimates, and subscription state inside the extension.
Local-first storage
Tab Relief is designed to store tab management settings and saved workspaces locally in the browser. The extension does not sell personal data and does not use tab information for advertising.
Payments
Payments are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Tab Relief does not store card numbers. ExtensionPay and Stripe may process payment details, customer email, subscription status, and billing records according to their own policies.
Data sharing
Tab Relief does not sell user data. Data may be shared only when needed to provide payment processing, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or support the service.
User control
You can remove the extension from Chrome at any time. You can also delete locally saved workspaces and protected domains from the extension interface. Subscription management is handled through the billing page provided by ExtensionPay and Stripe, which can be opened from the Billing screen inside the extension after release.
